Well my first blog.....something which is been on the back of my mind for quite sometime now, the fallout of a very long chat I had with someone. As we couldn't come to a good conclusion, I put these questions in front of you. The point is about how much one can expect from a friend and how important is keeping in touch.
Well coming to the first point....... I think that you can expect quite a lot from a good friend, you can expect to him to be by your side whether you need him or you don't. Good friends I think are above favors...... And true friendship is in confiding in someone...... In criticizing and correcting a mistake in your friend, not hurting yourselves and keeping mum on the situation.... everyone is human and can make mistakes.... and there is nothing wrong in correcting ones mistakes. Then again in todays world comes the issue of whom to trust and whom not to trust..... today when ...... ' a friend you need is your friend indeed ' seems to be the working principle of most friendships, its tough to find good friends.
Now for the second question, keeping in touch... saying a hi once a way, is that a problem or are u too lazy to say a hi. Some people say keeping in touch is not necessary as ' true friendship remains unchanged even if you meet after a few years' ...... very well said...... that applies for old friends in the world of snail mails...... in todays world of emails if you don't remember someone for a few years.... All that could mean is you are happy forgetting him .....
I think that was a bit too much....... Me not good for serious discussions... Try my hand on lighter topics the next time....... In the mean time do answer my questions.........
